Trustonic Provides First Trusted Execution Environment for Enterprise Mobility Management

Trustonic announce the first commercial release of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) underpinned by Trustonic technology.

LONDON, UK – 21 April, 2015: Trustonic, the leading provider of Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) for mobile devices is pleased to announce the first commercial release of Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) underpinned by Trustonic technology.  Good Technology today announced the industry’s first hardware-protected trusted user interface and secure key storage for EMM, using Trustonic TEE to provide high grade security for any cryptographic key storage and user authentication.  This represents a significant step forward for EMM customers using Trustonic-enabled devices to benefit from higher trust and a more adaptable work experience.

“We are delighted to have Good Technology as our first-to-market partner in the Enterprise Mobility Management space,” said Jon Geater, Chief Technology Officer of Trustonic. “Key and PIN protection with Trustonic TEE technology makes Good-secured apps even better for enterprise customers wishing to go about their business as easily as possible without compromising on security.”

Trustonic TEE technology helps EMM providers develop and enhance their solutions to ensure corporate networks can safely and securely connect with employee and corporate owned devices. By using Good Technology solutions combined with Trustonic’s Trusted Execution Environment IT managers can easily secure a more adaptable working environment whilst protecting the critical assets of their company in terms of data exchange and protection, as well as employee physical and digital access of corporate resources.

This is another example of Trustonic TEE, with its unique set of security features such as the Over-the air remote activation provided by Intercede in this partnership, the Trusted User interface, and Biometric-ready capabilities solving critical issues as already demonstrated in recent Mobile Financial Services, and Rich Content protection announcements. We are delighted to see another of our partners providing higher convenience and trust to more mobile users.

“The perception has been that security and usability on mobile devices can’t coexist in an enterprise environment, but that’s just not true,” said Nicko van Someren, CTO of Good Technology. “With the Good TEE solution, we’re combining best-in-class solutions that make the management of Android devices easier for IT while concurrently increasing security with a simpler user experience.”

“Our partnership with Trustonic and Good Technology brings TEE-strength security to the comprehensive suite of EMM applications that Good Technology and its ecosystem offers and will provide increased confidence in Android devices for business use,” said Richard Parris, CEO of Intercede.  “Using our MyTAM service for easy deployment of applications means private and public sector enterprises and governments can have the highest level of security available on the market.”
