Secure Vehicle Integration Platform with Kinibi and Gold VIP
NXP and Trustonic have partnered to bring advanced hardware-based security to the s32G SoC family. One of the most widely used chips globally that is unrestricted to verticals, being used heavily in IoT and Automotive with both Linux and Android based devices. Now embedded systems developers can build the most secure solutions using a trusted and proprietary Secure operating system with the easy to use toolkit. And benefit from other NXP partners to harden their existing solutions using commercial grade TEE technology.
With the growing need for regulatory compliance in the connected world, our TEE and SDK gives an open source free solution that simplifies the SBOM and reduces massively the attack surface, simplifying the vulnerability matrix and threat analysis and therefore simplifying compliance for device makers.
Solutions with Trustonic’s Global Platform compliant Kinibi Secure OS :
- Superior performance cryptography
- Multiple Secure Storage options
- Key & Data Provisioning and Management
- Attestation and Secure Communications

Developer SDK
The Developer SDK is the starting point to create secure software that leverages all the advanced security features offered by Kinibi and the iMX8 chip. The SDK contains all the necessary documentation and code samples to make development easy.
Trustonic has made advanced hardware-based security accessible and simple to use with an easy and comprehensive development flow.
It is important to note that the evaluation kit has been designed to use development keys that are publicly accessible to prevent it being used in commercial deployments. The binaries used are therefore equivalent from performance point of view, but should be considered to have zero commercial security and a commercial license is required to access the true release.
The Developer SDK contains:
- Getting started documentation
- Kinibi API documentation
- Kinibi developers guide
- Project examples (samples)
- Kinibi OS
- Software tools
