As part of the ongoing partnership between Trustonic and Huawei Consumer Business Group, I was kindly invited to attend the recent Huawei eco-Connect conference in Rome.

Huawei eco-Connect is Huawei’s annual flagship event for the European region. Its aim is to establish and promote an open, innovative and collaborative ICT ecosystem. Executives from all segments, thought leaders and product experts gathering to share their vision and discuss industry and technology trends and issues.

Huawei eco-Connect

Trustonic’s partnership with Huawei, which is now the second largest smartphone OEM brand worldwide, is built upon a shared vision that stronger security will bring simpler and better consumer experiences. We believe that an open and collaborative ecosystem is the best way to bring better security features to consumers, and we share a commitment to independent, fair and transparent industry security assessments to assure trust in our solutions.

Trustonic’s partnership with Huawei

This week, Trustonic is making the first public demonstrations of our partnership with Huawei Consumer Business Group at MWC19 in Barcelona. The objective of this partnership is to enable mobile application owners to benefit from the world-leading security features on Huawei devices through the Trustonic Application Protection (TAP) software development kit (SDK).

TAP protects mobile applications by securing sensitive code, data and processes in a heavily-protected Trusted Execution Environment, constantly upgrading over the course of an app’s lifecycle to take advantage of the most advanced hardware and software security technologies in the industry, including our new Trusted User Interface. TAP enables developers to easily develop and deploy their app and automatically cover 100% of end-user devices, delivering the best protection available whatever the user’s device.

TAP is already deployed globally by leading organizations, securing critical apps for banks, FinTechs, payment providers, cryptocurrency platforms, automotive manufacturers, mobile network operators and government bodies. This includes Volkswagen for their mobile car key solution, Line Messenger for secure communications and Cartes Bancaires for mobile payments.

Through this partnership, Trustonic and Huawei are together committed to enabling consumers with a Huawei device to have immediate access to new services, and to deliver better and faster user journeys on mobile apps that have been developed with the TAP SDK.

Trustonic is exhibiting at MWC19 in Barcelona at Hall 6i40. Visit our stand to see a preview of some of the new services that our partners are developing.
