Facilitates secure application development and enhanced application manageability

February 18, 2014 – Sequitur Labs Inc. and Trustonic today announced a partnership to improve the state of security and manageability of enterprise mobile devices. Under the banner of “Trusted Mobility”, the partnership will enhance policy-driven device and application management through hardware protection using the Trustonic ‹t™-base Trusted Execution Environment. Sequitur Labs’ components and API will provide a way for enterprise ISVs, in-house enterprise application developers and other mobile application development firms to take advantage of hardware root of trust provided by Trustonic which is already integrated in over 150 million devices worldwide.

Sequitur Labs will offer a variety of trusted and secure services for developers utilizing Trustonic’s <t-base-300. Sequitur’s trusted services will:

  1. Lower cost of developing TEE based secure apps for in-house enterprise developers and ISVs.
  2. Dramatically improve time to market by reducing the barriers to building TEE based apps.

Further, the partnership will bring to bear new device and application management capabilities for IT managers, facilitating better managed BYOD programs and will allow Android device OEMs to deliver enterprise-ready, manageable devices. Sequitur will demo its products at the Trustonic booth at Mobile World Congress 2014 on stand 7G81.

“As mobility becomes more entrenched in the enterprise, there is a heightened need for tools and services to facilitate secure mobile application development and provide better device and application manageability. Trustonic and Sequitur are in a unique position to fulfill this growing demand.” said Phil Attfield, Sequitur Labs CEO and co-founder.

“Mobile Device and Application Management need finer grained controls and hardware-backed security to deal with the complexities of today’s working patterns”, said Olivier Leger, Trustonic EVP Sales and Marketing. “Our <t-base TEE enables enterprises to place trust in employee owned devices to protect sensitive data while maintaining the original user experience envisioned by device makers”.
