Trustonic, the leading provider of Trusted Execution Environments (TEE) for mobile devices and iQuest Products Division have partnered to transform mobile devices into digital signing pens. As more businesses and consumers are using mobile devices to access critical information, managing traditional login credentials or hardware tokens is no longer convenient for end users.
In this new partnership iQuest’s mobile identity product, Keyhub, will use Trustonic TEE to provide legally-binding hardware-based security and protection for the secret key material stored on the mobile device. The product uses the advanced protection and crypto processor provided by the embedded execution environment found in many mobile devices for generating digital signatures for the operations that end users perform.
Being provided with hardware-based security features, Keyhub comes with a superior approach comparing to the software-only capabilities. This way, the solution provided by iQuest states for tamper-resistant security, making the mobile device a truly reliable companion.
“User experience is mandatory for user adoption, but security is crucial when it comes to identity solutions. Protecting users and customers becomes a key business goal.” Joos Cadonau, Product Manager.
Therefore, adopting TEE to ensure the secure storage of sensitive data and trusted applications is a natural next step in turning into a complete mobile identity solution.
“In today’s connected world users want simplicity, convenience and safer digital experience” said Olivier Leger, EVP S&M Trustonic. “We’re pleased iQuest has joined our Partner program so to provide their customers with TEE-enabled security on smart connected devices through their Keyhub solution”.
